August Rush

Can anyone believe it is August?! Where has this year gone? Time has sure flown for me this year.

This month is full of activities and excitement, even for this humble blog. :) I hope to give a little “monthly forecast” for you all in this post. I know a lot of blogs and readers have slowed down during the summer, but I hope to keep this blog updated, even if it is not everyday like I would like to.

  • This week I am adding a new feature titled “Tea and Books” to combine my two loves (besides Christ and my family, of course!) tea and books. These posts will comprise of my reading list for the current month, and a few words about the tea I enjoy and recommend. I am pretty excited about it and hope it is a welcomed feature by you all. The first “installment” should be in the next few days, so be looking for that.
  • I have a few Alabaster Hearts that are on their way to being published by some new friends of mine. I am really looking forward to introducing them through their interviews.
  • Mom and I are working on another Moments with Mom, still continuing on the subject of the tongue, so please don’t miss gleaning from my Mom’s wisdom (and humor!). That should definitely be out sometime this month. (maybe we can get a couple of them out)
  • My birthday is coming up on the 20th! Yeah! I’ll be a whopping 21! Wow. Time has flown again. :) But I am enormously happy and thankful to be celebrating the life God has given me and renew my vision for the future. God is so good.
  • Also, another milestone… my blogoversary! Alabaster Box is almost one year old! Funny that my blog and I were born in the same month… I will have to do a special post for the big day.
  • And of course the regular posting. I have a few posts in the workings that are coming to a blog near you soon. :) Thank you all for your sweet comments and support. You make this “blogging world” a better place!
Happy August!
