Exhausted, but Renewed
The conference is complete and my heart is full. Thank you everyone for praying for me while I was away and for leaving your encouraging comments. I certainly had an awesome weekend… God was visibly at work not only in the teens around me, but also God did some powerful workings in my own soul that I truly needed. The Word is beautiful. Believers are inspiring. God is incredible. It was a great weekend!
The topic for the conference was “The Problem with Evil”, basically looking at the difficult subject of reconciling an evil world with a loving God through studying the book of Job. Yes, it was arduous – but what a rich blessing to discover more about God’s sovereignty over evil and divine purpose behind suffering. Wonderful truths.
God was so gracious in providing the strength and ability I needed to lead the class… I was really nervous beforehand, but about halfway through the lesson I felt God’s peace settle my nerves. I loved interacting with the students and hopefully providing encouragement through the Word. It was great and I had fun.
Anyway, just wanted to update you all, and say thank you for your prayers. Can’t wait to share more about the truths I’ve learned in the future.

And I’m sure you were such a blessing to the teens in your class!
I’m so glad you had a good time! I can definitely identify with your feelings–I have gone to teach a class feeling scared and totally inadequate, but God just fills me up with energy, words to say, and love for the kids. I love it!!
