About
The Blog: In August 2007, God placed in my heart the idea and desire to start a site with a focus to encourage other young women with the things God was personally showing me. While reading in the gospel of Matthew, I was inspired by the woman who broke her alabaster vial at the feet of Jesus as a sign of her devotion and love for the Savior. Likewise, we, as believers in the Savior, can surrender and offer our lives as a fragrant sacrifice to our Lord. (2 Corinthians 2:14-17, Romans 12:1-2) From this story, this humble blog was born.
The Author: Well, I’m Kaysie. I’m 22 years old with a passion for God and people and words. I am currently a student through a distance education program studying the above three passions. The gorgeous mountains of Tennessee is where I call home and I live with my family, four horses, three dogs, and a few chickens. I am a lover of simple things like autumn leaves, long conversations, good books, laughter, wooden swings, a cup of Earl Grey, love songs, and the gospel. I have found that oftentimes the simplest things are the deepest things — and perhaps that is why I love them. Writing is definitely an addiction, and I am learning how God wants to use the words He has burned inside my soul. Prayerfully this blog will give a window for thoughts to climb through.
Contact: I absolutely LOVE hearing from my readers! Feel free to leave me a comment or e-mail me: kaysiedaisy@gmail.com
I'm Kaysie, 22. Jesus follower. Lover of sunshine, trees, hot tea, books, music, family, the gospel, poetry and Barnes and Nobles. Has a weird obsession with paper. Over-analyzes almost everything. Adores simplicity. Lucky for you.

Hey! You have your own domain now. Neat! What are you using to host? Did you get a good deal? (if you don’t mind me asking )
I like the new layout! blessings.
Thanks Kaylene. Yes, I have had my own domain for awhile, but I just got around to hosting it. I went with Bluehost for seven dollars a month. I am pretty happy with them so far. It was a lot more difficult that I thought it would be, setting it up and everything, but now I am happy and exited!
Hello,
I couldn’t find any other way of writing except to leave a comment and hope that it gets caught in moderation.
I was wondering if you want any help with your website, crosseyedblog.com? I am good with technical stuff (better then Eric. jk kinda.) and enjoy writing. If you are interested, please email me at Josiah@AbortAware.com. Thanks!
Hey Kaysie,
I forgot to mention — there is a song called ‘Alabaster Box’ by Women of Faith that I have on a cd and it reminded me of you! You might want to look it up. It’s pretty.
Phylicia

Love the site design but more importantly I love the Spirit within you. God bless you as you share your love of life and of your Lord Jesus with others. Thank you for sharing what the Lord has done for you and shared with you. You are certainly a witness in a darkening world. I admire you for your stance and for your commitment to the Lord.
I will pray for you as you continue on your walk with the Lord.
Allen, thank you!
This is so encouraging. Thank you for taking the time to bless and uplift. And thank you for your prayers. God bless…
I aboslutely LOVE your writing and your precious love for our heavenly father! I hate that you live so far away. My passion is good coffee, lol; and I too would love to open a christian coffee shop geared toward young adults to hang out, study, and fellowship. Feel free to e-mail or look me up on myspace.
Love in Christ,

Ashley, thank you so much! I am thankful for your encouragement. It would be fun to start some sort of Cafe’/bookstore/tearoom one day.
Thanks for your comment!
Amazing the miracle that The Living word can bring about in a life and your testimony in your About is evidence of that .
I am aware of what you are talking about where the love connection with Christ and the Word is concern. I have experience it . I have been a Christian since i was 6 years old.But its only over the last year that it has moved from neutral to fifth Gear.
my parents were once Christians but they and all my siblings have left the faith . I am the lone survivor in my family as far as Christianity is concern ..
It is so incredible powerful when you have submit your entire life to God.Although living under the banner of Christianity for years .. i have always has personal struggles but this year when i pleaded with God to give me the victory over my habits and my focus shifted on staying close to Him; only then i was able to live the life i live now … its like a total upgrade,His word is so clear . and he Guides me in to the truth i need at every point of my life..
With Gods Word now dominant i my life now its a amazing. There isn’t enough time in the day for me to read study or share his word . Am encourage by your Blog and it tells me
the Holy spirit is falling down on people all over the world.
Great Job and from what i have see so far i know that you will want all kudos all Praise to go to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
God Bless
Earl, thank you for your comment, and thanks for sharing some of your story. I am sorry about your family not holding to their faith, but thankfully you have a Friend who is closer than a brother, our Savior Jesus. I pray you continue faithfully in your walk with Him, as I know you will.
Thanks for all your encouragement. God bless.
Hey, I love this website. I am not a young woman, I am a 53 year old grandmother with ADD. I cannot focus on anything, so I have much difficulty studying, and have a lot of trouble believing that the Lord loves me. I feel so splintered, because my thoughts seem to present themselves that way. Because of that, I have a hard time living the abundant life, any ideas?
I was studying my bible and wanted to see what an alabaster box looked like and found your site. I’m 64 years old and have been saved for about 45 years. I love the Lord a lot and was surprised to see someone so young, love the Lord. This is sure encouraging to me when I see most teens going the way of the world I am poraying that you have a very blessed website. Be careful that you still have time for the Lord. Keep up the good work- you have blessed my heart!
I returned to your site again today and read why you started this site. I pray more young women who read what you have to say and come to know the peace of our Lord Jesus. Your pictures relax people and give them a calmness the world is now looking for. As a male at the age of 59 my heart goes out to the young women. I know many of you are looking for a close relationship with a man who would treat you with love and respect. Someone who will look into your eyes to read your heart, someone who would invite you to do the same to him. It is a fact that to many young women are being taken advantage of and the main thing on most young men these days is what they can get from you, not what you really need which is pure love. I am praying for you all that you may find it in your heart to seek the image of Christ and that love which He gave us. If you seek a man who knows and is abiding in Christ, your chances of finding true love will greatly increase. I have been married now for 38 years and I often wonder what it would be like if I had to start all over looking for my soul mate? I thank Jesus, He gave me what I had prayerd for. My young women this is coming from a middle age man, stand up and take notice who you are. You are not some cheap fix for some guy who has a desire to get what he wants from you as fast as he can get it. You have been made in the image of God, you are blessing from our Christ and you can demand to be treated as such. If you meet a boy and he is not willing to respect you, walk away and save yourself the pain that fill follow you. Do you want true love? Is your heart calling out to share it with someone? Ask Christ to give you the person your heart is seeking for. What you ask for you will get! Here is a few hints.
When a man comes into your life, if he can’t stare into our eyes while taling to you, he really isn’t focus on what you are saying. His mind will be somewhere else. If this man only talks about himself and doesn’t ask questions about you, this is a sign this person isn’t interested in really getting to know the person you are inside. If after the first few dates you begin to hear fowl words begin to come out of this man’s mouth, you will get a glimpse of what is in his heart.. Just a few things to consider.
Very excellent contribution Frank .. more women need to see what you have said ,all ages in fact not just the young.
I see the same.

Wow!
Just listening to you talk about yourself your family and your relationship with God is EDIFYING! to say the least.
You have the name of your Savior written all over your words.
I think its great what you’re doing with this blog. Our pastor has really been talking about how much of your faith you can share beyond your locality through the internet and he’s right cause I’m in Zambia, Africa talking to you and being blessed by you in the USA.We’re certainly living in amazing times don’t you think?
Its great to know that even in the USA there are young men and women of God with an all consuming desire to know and serve the Great and Awesome God who alone is worthy of all energies.
I’m kinda new to blogging and posting comments and that sort of thing but I do like words and putting them together as well as public speaking so you’ll probably be seeing alot more posts from now on.
God bless you sister.
Hi Kaysie,
I’m 24 and I live in Zambia. My brother, Elijah, introduced me to your blog and I have been so blessed by what I’ve found there.
I often think that I should be more brave about speaking out for Jesus and I am totally moved by your love and service to Him, using the means available to you and the gifts He has given you.
May His name be glorified!
Hi Kaisie forgive me but I am not sure where I should write to you so I saw this and hope you will forgive me.I came across your site because someone had posted something on Francis Schaeffer and I have an alert on Google for that so I was being curious.I was enchaned, amazed, delighted by your sit e.it was so warm , so good, so attrractive I thought I must have this girl in my life somehow.I am a brotherin Christ as you will see by my blogspot and I am on facebook and would be very thankful to have you as a friend but if not I would love to be updated on your blogs which I have only had the pleasure of one so far.yours in Christ our Saviour David
